The legends talk about the existence of a permanent rainforest, full of mosses, lichens and giant cedar trees and that it is surrounded by dry grasslands and a gorgeous, cobalt blue river runs trough it. Mythical creatures live in these waters, the anadromous people of the salmonids. Its tribes are called the chinook, the pink, the coho, the chum and the sockeye.
And in the dark, moist woods, roam big, brown carnivores which surround many myths and fairy tails. One is, that they slaughter salmons without mercy and eat the brains and roe while the victims are still alive. This massacre on the fish leaves a foul, unspeakable smell throughout the air so that humans hardly ever want to stay there. The way to this mysteries wonderland is rough, long and dangerous and the infamous hill will put the braveness of most travellers to the ultimate test.
But, those are just legends.
